"Balvihar"

- a place where children learn and discover their cultural heritage while playing. Our vision to create a place here in Albuqerque, New Mexcio.

The idea is to provide an enviroment where the personality of the child blossoms in a spontaneous way.
Good conduct, emotional refinement, intellectual finesse and spirtual awarness are developed by mature sevaks/ sevikas (parent and adult volunteers) through fun and play, and through stories and bhajans.
The children are encouraged to be responsible , alert and sensitive members of society.

Who can participate?

Everyone. We also would like the parents to be involved in this learning process. Balvihar is "by" the parents "for" the children. When the parents participate fully the children learn, play and blossom in the safe and caring enviroment created for them. The only requirement is that the child be potty trained and be able to speak.

Group I - Children till 2nd grade.

Moral story telling session- Includes discussion, question and answers and practical applications.

Group III - High Scool Children and Adults

Group discussion on topics from the book "Symbolism in Hinduism"
Group discussion on topics applied to the current life situations and practical applications.

When: Every Sunday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM starting August 5th, 2007

Where: The "Hindu Temple" building at 8418 Zuni Rd. SE,87108.

Fees: Family Plans are $10, but if both the Parents are students at UNM,or CNM, thier plans are free!!!! The fees are due by the 10th of each month.
